Southern Cebu is truly a world-renowned paradise for the fact that its landscape is blessed abundantly with wonders of nature, one of which, the third item on my list, is the trio of Inambakan, Kampael, and Bugnawan Falls. These falls can be found in the town of Ginatilan, the birthplace of the second Filipino saint, San Pedro Calungsod. Apart from the falls, another place where tourists can set their eyes upon in this sleepy town is the Poblacion, home to several heritage sites, and since I'm a fan of old, man-made wonders, I really enjoyed this trip.

Chasing Waterfalls in Cebu: Kawasan
The second item on my itinerary is the famous Kawasan Falls in Badian. Located about 130 kilometers south of Cebu City, Badian is a third class municipality in the 2nd Congressional District of Cebu with a population of roughly 38,000. This sleepy town is home to Kawasan Falls located inside the mountains of Barangay Matutinao.

The Gentle Giants of Oslob
The town of Oslob is a fourth class municipality in the province of Cebu and is home to about 30,000 people. Oslob shares distinction with Donsol, Sorsogon as the only two destinations in the Philippines where tourists can swim with whale sharks, locally known as butanding - the largest known extant species of fish which weigh as much as 30 tons and swim in open waters of the tropical oceans.

Chasing Waterfalls in Cebu: Mantayupan
This is my first post in my chasing waterfalls series, a chain of posts about the most stunning waterfalls in the southern part of the province of Cebu. Mantayupan Falls in Barili is one of such falls in my list.

Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur Escapade
My country truly never ceases to amaze me with her astonishing beauty. Last Sunday, I experienced her magnificence once again when I and my friends went to one of her gems, Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.
Surigao del Sur's Enchanted River
A must-see destination when visiting the province of Surigao del Sur, the Enchanted River earned its monicker from local legends which have been passed on from generations to another. It is said that engkantos and fairies dwelt in the unexplored depths of this river and hand in hand, they added sapphire and jade to the river giving it an unusual color. Nonetheless, the river has attracted swarms of tourists even from the farthest places of our land. The reason for this can easily be perceived - its gleaming and invigorating water.

Sarsoza Ponta Cave
My first attempt at spelunking was a success and gave me a one-of-a-kind and thrilling experience. Hinatuan is well-known for its Enchanted River but little do people know that aside from it, Hinatuan has a greater deal to offer. One such place is Sarsoza Ponta Cave in Port Lamon. This cave is 30 minutes away from Barangay Cambatong by boat. Boats can be rented there for P160 per hour.

Hinatuan's Sibadan Fish Cage
One of Hinatuan's best dining spots can be found right in the waters of Hinatuan Bay. Sibadan Fish Cage is a restaurant on stilts accessible only by boats and is best visited during the summer season where fish is abundant. Aside from offering freshly cooked seafoods, it also offers board and lodging at a reasonable price - 300 pesos for a single fan room.

Weekend Getaway at Nagsasa
Last weekend, a friend and I set off on a getaway in what may be the most secluded beach I've ever been to so far, Nagsasa Cove. This tranquil beach is just 45 minutes by boat from Sitio Pundaquit in the town of San Antonio, Zambales. I came across this cove over the web many months ago as I was looking for a beach which has the means to isolate us from civilization for just a few days meaning no cellphone signal, internet connection, not even electricity. Upon browsing, I chanced upon this cove and learning that is has such isolation made me say yes to it right away.

Hola Zamboanga!
It has been a while since I last visited Zamboanga City, but I finally had the chance to write a post about it. Zamboanga City has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons in recent years. In 2013, it was the site of a siege by members of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF). And just recently, a huge blast rocked the restful village of Guiwan. These regrettable events have painted Zamboanga City in a negative light. To most people who have not seen the city for themselves, it may seem like a setting for a war movie. And I cannot blame them for thinking like that, as our media has given great attention to these events.

Camarines Sur
I feel excited as I write this post because this is my first one for 2015. I learned that I will be travelling to Camarines Sur just last December so I was very excited about it. Actually, I've been to this province several times before because this is the gateway to our home province Albay and we frequently pass by it but that's the only experience I had with Camsur. This time, it's a different thing, I've been given the chance to stay here for a few days because I was assigned to speak at the Bicol Youth Congress for IT in Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges.
