The town of Oslob is a fourth class municipality in the province of Cebu and is home to about 30,000 people. Oslob shares distinction with Donsol, Sorsogon as the only two destinations in the Philippines where tourists can swim with whale sharks, locally known as butanding - the largest known extant species of fish which weigh as much as 30 tons and swim in open waters of the tropical oceans.
